How make Makgeolli with Sulssi
1. Preparation-Wash and dry 5L or larger container(earthenware jar, glass jar, plastic jar, recommended in respective order). Use mineral water or tap water boiled and left to sit for a day.
2. Mixing process-Place 1.5L of water in the container and slowly add and mix 500g (1 pouch) of sulssi. Place the lid loosely to allow some air and leave the container at room temperature.(Temperature around 22︒C is recommended.)
3. Saccharification-Stir well in the morning and night for two days so that the starch in rice can turn into sugar by the yeast.
4. Fermentation-Stop stirring.Leave it as it is for 5 days. to let it be fermented into liquor.
5. Ripening-For different tastes, add plum enzyme, cornelian cherry, or Korean rasberry, stir well, and ripen for one or two days more.
6. Filtering-Clear Rice Wine : Add 1.5L of drinking water, stir well, and run through a filter or sieve.
7. Enjoy-Keep the liquor refrigerated for a day or longer for better taste.(Can be kept refrigerated for 30 days or longer)
